LATVIAN PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION OF TRANSPERSONAL
PSYCHOLOGY (LTPPA)
The Latvian Professional Association of Transpersonal Psychology
unifies specialist of psychology, psychotherapy, health care, social
work and pedagogy through applying transpersonal methods to their
professional activities with patients/clients/students.
The main goal of the association is to initiate understanding of
transpersonal psychology by means of organizing seminars, workshops and
training, as well as different creative activities.
The main directions include: seminars of holotropic breathwork; other
transpersonal techniques e.g. The Mystery of birthâ, shamanic
practices, transpersonal art therapy, music, dance - movement and
perenatal exercises of body-oriented therapy, oriental practices, the
Hellinger method and others.
Latvian Professional Association of Transpersonal Psychology is a
member of European Transpersonal Association (EUROTAS) since 2006.
- Transpersonal psychology is
a branch of
humanistic psychology with research into spiritual, physical and mental
relationships, creativity
and transformation, and altered states of consciousness.
- LTPPA brings together
psychologists,
psychotherapists, medical practitioners, social workers and tutors from
Latvia, who use
transpersonal psychology methods in their work with
patients/clients/students.
- In 2006 LTPPA was accepted
into
European Transpersonal Psychology Association (EUROTAS)
and in conjunction with the USA Association for
Transpersonal
Psychology - ATP with
the Californian Institute
for Transpersonal Psychology ITP.
- Eastern European countries
are
connected to LTPPA through the International Association of
Transpersonal Psychology "Saule".
